How Recreational Therapists or Activity Directors can implement this great Year Around Activity Program into monthly calendars.
Warm up Exercises and Diagrams
How to train and Prepare your Residents for their events
A list and set up of the Events included in the annual Golden Games Event Day
How to Track Progress / Activity Log
Goal Sheets

These Olympian inspired events incorporate: Cardio, Strength, Balance and Stretching and are modified for both sitting and standing participants:

Opening Ceremonies, Events Begin, Closing/Medals Ceremonies
Participating seniors are divided by sitting/standing
Age groups are 55-70 and 71 and up.
Participants compete in up to 5 events
All participants are acknowledged with a certificate of participation
Top three participants receive GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE medals for their results.

Follow the monthly Training Guide, which outlines a fun training program for each event and directs the Recreational or Physical Therapist or Activity Director, on how to properly prepare, train and practice with their residents.
Training logs and goal sheets are provided to track progress.
Each participant has the opportunity to select up to 5 events in which to compete.
